Newport Thursday Netball End Of Season!
**Hot Shots Clinch Victory in Division 1 of Newport Thursday Netball League**
In the 10th and final week of the riveting Newport Thursday Netball League, the Hot Shots team emerged victorious in Division 1 with an impressive total of 46 points and 9 wins. Their dedication, tactics and stellar performances throughout the season ensured their spot at the top of the division.
The final games of the season were played last night, delivering a thrilling spectacle. The Hot Shots went up against a formidable Hoop There It Is, with the latter team securing a 18-14 win as they finished as runners up. Despite this loss, the Hot Shots maintained their position at the top of the division. Meanwhile, Net Ninja's faced a tough game as they took on Wingland with the latter winning with a 23-5 scoreline.
The Newport Thursday Netball League has once again provided an exciting platform for these local players to exhibit their skill, teamwork and competitive spirit in a fun and social setting. As we wrap up this chapter of local netball, we eagerly look forward to the next season when we return in September after the summer break.
Thank you so much to Jane for running the league week in week out on a Thursday night, her efforts are much appreciated by myself and all at Netball Leagues and I'm sure all the players would echo this. Thank you also to our other umpires this season Lillie, Tori and Ann, again your efforts are much appreciated by all. Finally a big thank you to all our captains and their players, it's been great to see so many players get back into Netball and to watch players improve over the past few months, we go again in September, have a lovely summer holidays.
