End of Season Newport Thursday Netball League!

In a thrilling final week of our Newport Thursday 7-a-side Netball League, the exhilarating action was dominated by the league's top performers in. 

Hoop There It Is showcased a phenomenal performance, defeating The Glojis with a decisive 25-10 victory. Cassidy Bateman, a standout player from Hoop There It Is, was chosen as the most valued player of the week. Bateman's stellar on-court manoeuvres and tactical acumen were instrumental in their team's triumphant win.

The Ball-Shots securing a narrow 14-10 win against Wight Shots, as they ended the season as runners up. Shooting Stars also managed a commendable win against Wingland with a final score of 23-19 to finish third with Wingland fourth, always a fun game between these too.

Finally a huge congratulations to Hot Shots who clinched the title against Net Ninja's, winning 31-5, after a series of nail-biting matches and fantastic team efforts, the final week culminated with Hot Shots being crowned as our winners. With a total of 70 points and 14 wins it has been a fantastic season for Shots.

Congratulations to our Player Of The Season! In fact this season the award is shared between Megan Cunningham of Hot Shots and Kerrie Blackburn of Shooting Stars, both have been excellent for their teams and well deserving of the award, well done Megan and Kerrie.

As we bid farewell to this season of the Newport Thursday 7-a-side Netball League, we celebrate the sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and the exciting talent that all the teams brought to the court. We eagerly look forward to the next season and the captivating games it promises to bring. For all the teams, it has been a season of growth, perseverance, and some excellent netball.

A huge thank you to Jane for doing such an amazing job running the evening week in week out along with Lillie. Their efforts are much appreciated by everyone.
