END OF SEASON - HOT SHOTS CHAMPIONS

In a thrilling conclusion to the Newport Thursday 7 a side Netball league, the tenth week of the season delivered exceptional performance, teamwork and noteworthy individual brilliance.

In Division 1, we saw incredible displays of skill and teamwork as all teams showed huge development in their game. The Shooting Stars blazed past the Net Ninja's with an impressive score of 23-6, demonstrating their dominance and prowess on the court. Meanwhile, Wight Shots and Wingland were embroiled in a fierce competition, which resulted in a nail-biting draw at 12-12. Despite the competitiveness of the game, as always the highest levels of sportsmanship were demonstrated and it was smiles all round at the final whistle.

Hot Shots secured the title with a gifted win as they took their turn to play a friendly. This capped a brilliant season for the group who have gelled together and showed improvement each and every week. They pip Wingland to the trophy by just 2 points with Wightshots coming 3rd some 12 points further back. 

As we look back at the season, it's been a time of intense competition, incredible talent, and unforgettable games. Each team in Division 1 gave their all on the court, providing us with thrilling matches week after week.

Congratulations to Hot Shots on their well-deserved victory and to all the players for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the season. Also it's a huge thank you to Jane and her team of umpires who manage our games each week, the league wouldn't run without their efforts so thank you. 

We look forward to the next season of the Newport Thursday Social Netball league, and we can't wait to welcome our newest side Hoop There It Is to the fold.
